The Filterautomat is distinguished by an extremely robust design and an excellent back-flushing performance. The complete filter area is cleaned by a rotating filter drum.

Fully-automatic backwash filter with rotating filter-drum flown through from outside to inside.

The filter-element is cleaned by opening the backwash drain valve – parallel to the filtration – without interruption of the filtering process. Due to the partial cleaning of the strainer-element and the specific cross-flow flushing highly backwash speeds in the filter-element up to 10 m/s can be attained.

The Backwash Drum Filter is based on the Filterautomat’s filtration and backwash principle. However, a more individual choice of materials for more demanding mediums can be realized.

The Backwash Drum Filter eliminates solids contamination in pressurized cooling and process water systems by arresting contaminants across the whole surface of a specially constructed slotted strainer element in the filter drum where these retained contaminants then become part of the filtering function (100 % surface filtration). Periodic segmental back-washing cleans the strainer without interrupting the filtering process. Backwash is to atmosphere and a minimum pressure differential of 0,8 bar across the strainer is required.

Inline filter without moving inner parts. The patented design allows for nearly all materials, flow rates, and mounting positions.

Fully-automatic backwash filter without movable parts designed with a diameter similar or identical to the existing pipe. The raw water flows with high intake speed into the filter-elements. As result the cleaned liquid leaves the filter only on the last 10 – 20 % of the cartridge length, i.e. from inside to outside as pure water. The retained solids will accumulate in the common collector, that means at the end of the filter-elements. The filter-element is cleaned by opening the flushing valve – parallel to the filtration – without interruption of the filtering process. The flushing is controlled either by a timer and by differential pressure and free-adjustable.
